Three PRI's. Clocking on 1 w/ BU on 2 and no CC on 3
Do lcnt -
All 3 have 1 SLIPR
Get DTA015 1
Then DTI000
Slot 1 now has 2 SLIPR, 2 & 3 still have 1 SLIPR
A few minutes later, no errors but 3 has 2 SLIPR, 2 still has 1
A few minutes after that, no errors but all have 2 SLIPR's (when I dialed in, all have 5).
I have switched cards, bypassed the CSU to go directly into the smartjack. Changed to clock on 2nd TMDI. Still same results.
This switch came from another state where they closed an office. Have 5 ESS here, don't know what they had there.
Any Ideas?

You can either try to give it to Telco and hope they fix it or you can get a TBERD and see if you are actually getting slips on the T1 that is clocking. You can also change it to the secondary clock source and see if you still take them

Changed to the secondary clock with the same results. Another guy I talked to said they'd been there a year and he had been getting slips the intire time (new building).
Are the Nortels known for phantom problems? Why would all three incriment up at the same rate?

Because all three have the same clock source, try changing your Clock Card

FYI, there was a design flaw in NTRB21AA RLS 10
(slips and noise on line)

NTRB21AA rls12+ fixed the issue.

Are you using two different names for the same board? I have rolled, replaced and everything else to the 2 TMDI's that have the clock controller motherboard. (2 of the 3 have clocks on them). I that site to do a visual.
I am getting "DTI015 1" which means tracking maintenance limit and I think that's on clock 1. Is this limit adjustable and if so where do I look at what the limit is set at? I don't have a full set of manuals but I am digging through the ones I have.
I am not seeing any DTC errors.

Thanks everyone, AT&T and I are going to meet and see where the slips are coming from.
Going to try and get the other companies voice tech to see if we get slips at the same time. They come across the same facilities.

I am sure you have checked this, but when you status the clock it does say it is tracking the primary clock, not free run. And no errors. Right?

I will post but it will be tomorrow. Out of town today.

I use a loop back plug on the cable coming from the TMDI. this is a low tech way to check to see if the problem is the Opt11c. Always a good start before dragging in the t-berd.

A thousand pardons, have had another line of work assigned to me (guess it's better to be overworked than out of work).

If I put a loopback on the clocking T1, can it be forced back to the primary for clocking or go to the 2nd clock source?
