slave drive not showing on my computer

Hi i just installed a slave drive that has some problems but I need to copy some files from it to my new disk drive.The drive is shown on the device manager and cmos but is not showing on My Computer Window. The other drives have not changed their assigned letters so I'm lost on this one.Any help will be appreciated.

does it appear in device manager (system properties, hardware tab) or disk management (run diskmgmt.msc)?

where does it come from - filestore/operating system etc?

Hi I did run diskmgmt and it shows the drive and is marked "unknown" with a red button and a white minus sign in it. What do I do now, I don't want to loose the info there.Thanks
