Hello, i make the nav bar in fireworks and do it at 800 x 600 is there any way in dreamweaver to make this 100% or whatever so it fits all windows or something?

hopefully you know what i mean :-s

Thanks

I'm not aware of setting fireworks at 800X600 except your monitor.
When I first was starting out, I was told to set table sizes at 100% so that your pages will adjust accordingly with all monitor sizes.
Not necessarily the case when your images are made by pixels and not %.

Everyone will have their own preference.
What I do is set the outside table to about 750 to 775 pixels and any table within can be percentage.
That way you keep your pages tight. If your outside table is 100% and your navbar is only 400px. The outside table will stretch on a large monitor, looking distorted.

Ofcourse doing it my way means empty space on the right side in large monitors, but atleast your content is intact.

HOpe that helps.

Make two nav bars

one for 800 x 600
One for 1024 x 600

Get the res checker extension from macromedia
get you page to laod a different nav bar depedning on resolution.

If you've got you nav bar in a top frame, add the res checker to an almost empty document in the top frame, and get it to load the page with the right size nav bar onload.
