Hi, i just bought a model# 6236 SiS 3D 8mb AGP. I need drivers for windows 2000. But- i cheked the SiS website, and all they had listed were the drivers for the 6326. Is this just a typo, or are they different, can i use that driver, does win2kpro have that driver on the cdrom? By the way, I dont know what the SiS card or box says on it, i havent recieved it yet, but the website ( says it is a 6236. Any help is appreciated.

Also, can i just pull my cdrom out and replace it with a dvdrom and still be able to boot off of a cd? My mobo supports cd booting by the way.

Thanks!

I had the same confusion, downloaded the driver, and it works.
Yes, you can boot from a DVD drive, same as a CD-ROM, providing it's a simple EIDE (Atapi type) drive, not SCSI, USB, etc. Cheers,
Jim
