just in the process of switching to Gamma trunks from Trunks provided by cloudcalling.

Trunks seem to work fine apart from im getting alot of issues with VCM resources in use.

Ive got plenty of VCM resources free and cant understand why im getting alarms.

Obv the knock on effect is that users get the 'waiting for line' message until VCM resources become free.

All phones have direct media path enabled and the max number of calls ive had at any one time in and out totals 15.

any ideas?
D

Codec mismatch?
If that is the case then it uses one or even two or more VCM channels per call.

BAZINGA!

codecs are all set the same G.711, had a look through the trace and saw that dtmf resources were being hammered, changed DTMF to 'inband' on the sip trunks and seems to have sorted it.

You dont want DTMF Inband - otherwise any thing that requires you to enter key presses wont "hear" the DTMF tones.

something else is causing your issue.

You shouldnt need DMP enabled on a local situation.
