We lost our Registraiton to our SIP Provider this moring. When I was able to get to the Syetem Monitor it said that the Connection was 'Not Registered' Is there a Manual way to force a SIP Registration? When I've needed to I've only been able to reboot to get a registration to happen.

When I spoke with the SIP Provider they had the Following to say:

SIP Provider said:
What is the retry timer on your SIP trunk set as? Also are you able to set a secondary Outbound Proxy on your system?

Our Chicago proxy had an issue this morning but your system should have failed over to DFW. It is looking from your logs like:
* The PBX on your side did not failover
* The PBX did not retry when Chicago came back up. Chicago was unavailable for about 10 minutes.

Is it possible to dual-reg your Avaya PBX to our system? Otherwise I can probably setup an SRV record for your account and we'll see if the Avaya system understands that. It should.

I dont know about a Retry Timer, there is the SIP Expiry timer, its set to 60. We were down for 58 Minutes before I rebooted.

Does the Avaya have the ability to have a secondary Outbound Proxy?
Can the SIP Trunk have a Dual Registration? Would that be creating a 2nd SIP URI with the same Groups using a different SIP Registration?

Thanks,

No Love on the SIP re-registation after an existing Registration to SIP ITSP Proxy Address has Failed?
