IPO w/9.0
inbound traffic uses pots lines because of portability issues. customer wants to use SIP for outbound only and they want to display the main number of the business.
SIP provider is not a DEVCONNECT Partner, however, I have had multiple sites with this provider on these IPO's and everything works fine for in and out calling as long as the local numbers have been ported. I have been unsuccessful in changing the outbound CID from the registration pilot number to the local number. Talking with the carrier, they have assured me that they are not blocking out bound pulsing as long as I'm using the PAI of the local number and the header as the registration number.
Avaya actually was contacted about this yesterday and said that the PAI in the SIP URI tab needs to be set for USE INTERNAL DATA and in the user SIP tab-set it to the local number that I'm wanting to display.
I did this along with a lot of other scenarios trying to get it to work. even in monitor it shows a 604 error and the carrier is saying that it's not them and that the only thing they are seeing from me is the reg number and I'm also getting an INCOMPATIBLE from the IPO on the display of the hone I'm dialing from?
I know there are some of you that would suggest that since AVAYA said try this and it didn't work-then that's it, however, I'm hoping that someone has had this happened and maybe found a fix.
Thanks in advance!
