Hi,

I would like to know that items are necessary to add a Sip Trunk in Server Edition R.9.
These are the items my BP sent me, are all necessary?

-IP OFFICE MEDIA CARD VOICE CODING MODULE 32 V2
-IP OFFICE/B5800 IP500 TRUNK CARD BASIC RATE 4 UNIVERSAL
-IPO R9 SIP TRNK 20 ADI LIC

I don't know if the first two are for working with Ip Softphones instead Sip Trunks.
Many Thanks

A server edition does not need a VCM card
The trunkcard is also not for a server edition.

All you need is the sip trunk licenses.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi tlpeter,

Thanks for your answer.
So I don't need the cards even for the Ip Softphones?
The Ip Softphones licenses are IPO R9 Power User licenses, which I assume are all right, but is it necessary Avaya One-X Portal or the softphones can work as phones without this server?

Thanks again.

By the way, what we need are Softphones replacing our digital phones, but I am not sure if it is the license Power User or another different license (like Avaya IP Office R9 Softphone License)

Thanks

Update:
According to documentation "The Power User license enables a user to use Avaya one-X Portal for IP Office, Avaya Softphone, all Mobility features and Unified Messaging Service (UMS)". So 1 Power User license allow to use 1 Ip Office Softphone session, is that right?
So why do I need IPO R9 SOFTPHONE ADI LIC (275663) if I can to it with Power User licenses which are cheaper?

Thanks
