SIP trunk down on the other side of SBC. Is there a way for SM and CM to detect so they can reroute?

I have a DIA SIP trunk > SBC > SM > CM. The DIA is down. Is they a way that CM can detect this so it can route through other trunks? Seems like if I give SM an alternate back to CM it would just cause a loop.

You shouldn't need any secondary route in SM. If SM has a single routing policy to that single entity and it times out or returns an error, that error should be returned to CM. If your route pattern in CM had a secondary choice of an ISDN trunk, CM should automatically pick that.

The trunk from CM to SM is still up and idle. What is going to make CM use a second trunk in the route definition?

the rejection from the 1st choice in route pattern

But you will need to change the value on the route pattern of the look ahead routing to next in order for it to work

ACSS (UC/SBCE/SM/SME)

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.
