I have purchased a SIP Line for my IP office 500 and have setup up a SIP Trunk. The SIP has registered with the provisor as I can see this in system Status and I can cam make a call out through the SIP Trunk. When I try to make call in to the registered No. which is a london number I just get an engaged tone. I have setup an incoming call router which just has the line group ID that refers to my SIP URI.

Has anyone get any ideas that could help me as I'm totally stuck. Many Thanks.

Also I have enable UDP Port 5060 straight through my firewall to the LAN 1 IP on the Avaya IP Office

Try to put it on "Open Internet" and on the first LAN tab unitck enable NAT.

I tried that and it worked then after about 5 mins I recived the config again and all the settings I put in on the Stun server had changed back again by them self and in the error pain it comes up again and says communication is not possible unless is supported on the same IP address as the ITSP. Any ideas?

Turn off the STUN server.

STUN; 0.0.0.0
Firew; Open internet
Biding; 30
PublicIP; your public IP addr
PublPort; 5060
Untick run STUN on startup.

You've forwarded port 5060, but if voiceflex uses STUN then port 3478 also needs to be forwarded.

Found out that they have a nother sip server.

146.101.248.207 sip5.voiceflex.com

Maybe those work without STUN.

Thanks so much!!
The above has fixed it!! Every time a reboot and try it it works every time now. Excellent does this mean it is not using STUN now and is this ok. Also do I need to set the above on every install I do or does it depend on what firewall I am behind?

I think you can use them both depending on the povider/firewall setup the customer has done.

Mostly i use the setting as above.

Glad you've got it working now.

Good to hear its now working.

STUN section it has now put in port restricted cone NAT and My public IP address and it showing an error saying communication is not possible unless is supported on the same IP address as the ITSP

This is what it should say the ITSP is the SIP provider and if you use STUN then it has to be supported on their system - which it is on Voiceflex. Im thinking the NAT you set on the firewall was possibly conflicting with the STUN.

Next time - try using just stun and not setting any NAT translations on the firewall/router if you feel so inclined.

Once again guys many thanks for all you help A+++
