I have a IP500v2 with 6.0.18 that just ported numbers to a new SIP circuit today.

With IPO and ISDN, in Incoming Call Routes, you can point an inbound number to a destination of VM:modulename (and the inbound call will route to the module named). This is not working with the numbers I've ported to the SIP circuit! The provider is telling me they're seeing 404 unknown errors.

I am able to work around this by programming a (virtual/phantom) user that has user SIP Name/Display/Contact set to the incoming number in question. I forward this user to the VM module and it works. But, I know this is not right.

With SIP, is it not possbile to route calls straight to a VM module?

In the SIP URI for the line, I have selected "use internal data."

I have 20 DID's porting soon so I'd like to figure out the proper method here! Waiting for a call from tech support but tek-tips is usually much quicker :)

TIA

You need a SIP URI with a * for all 3 fields (Local URI, Contact and Display name) with the Incoming line group matching the incoming call route you have programmed :)

P.s Don't forget to change the outgoing group out of range so it isn't used for outgoing, only incoming matching :)
