We recently installed SIP trunks between our main sites for inter office traffic.
We learned that in certain circumstances we are having issues between an anlog fax machine and a Brooktrout analog fax card.
The call flow looks like --
Fax -- analog port -- Sig Serv -- Sip Trunk -- Sig Serv -- analog port -- fax card
I'm wondering if we could get a fax card that would be a SIP endpoint and take the T.38 signal directly from the originating side's Sig Serv. to the fax card.
If anyone has done anything like this or knows if Nortel -- tried the Nortel site and didn't get anywhere -- has a supported vendor of such a card I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
TIA
