Can ie 5.5 be configured to store the PINs used during cert authentication so that the user doesn't have to re-enter the PIN every time an SSL session is re-established (either
with same or different web server)? If so, how?

It is possible with netscape 4. It allows you
to:
1.) Prompt for your password every time you authenticate to a new SSL server
 2.) Once at startup
 3.) Expiry every N minutes

Regards,
Paul.
