I have a problem. I need to be able to use an external dial-up modem to connect to a remote application, but I also want to maintain my internet connection through the LAN on the same workstation. Even when I specify the DNS and gateway (even though they are assigned by DHCP), as well as select "never dial connection" in connection settings for IE, when the modem is connected, I can't connect to the internet through the LAN. Oddly enough, I can browse the network.

I am running Windows 2000 Pro. Any ideas/ solutions?

BTW... Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this post. I just could not find one closer.
