Basic Question:
(I've never done this before so I'm not sure what to do).
I am creating a small business website for a friend in FP.
It is a pretty basic site. My knowledge is more in VS.Net and using company web hosted servers.
So once I have his site to a point where it is ready to be posted on the www, what do I need to get it out there?

What provider should he/we use and how do I ftp my files over to them? What steps are involved when I want to republish the site due to changes. And how are images and photos handled when publishing?
Thanks

Hi, I tend to use a company called 1&1 you can purchase a domain name from them, as well as hosting space, once you have got that they forward you details to login to there control panel, from there you can setup some ftp directories, and then ftp your content either from frontpage or from third party ftp software..

Many Thanks

If you are using FrontPage, would it not be easier to publish the site? I agree with yardyy that 1&1 are excellent. We have 94 domains registered with two packages, one being ms hosting the other linux. A lot will depend also if you want to use FrontPage server extensions.

My apologies if you already know this.

This is not an advert for 1&1 but in six years, we have had no loss of service at all.
