Also, keep in mind that it's not correct to list SATA as "gb", which usually refers to data size (gigabyte). Instead, you should use Gb/s (gigabits per second) which identifies bandwidth. It might help for you to read a bit about the technology here:
Realize that 1.5 Gb/s is still plenty fast for drives running alone or in small arrays. The 3.0 Gb/s increase mainly benefits large storage arrays found in company server solutions.
