Hello All!!

I'm thinking of purchasing SMS for the organization for software deployment, Auditing, etc. My question is must I also purchase a copy of SQL or can I run SMS without this additional software.

Any help appreciated

Yeah, sorry to tell you but you really need SQL to get it going :-(

searching technet should tell you which versions...
(6.5 or higher I think)

Thanks DomainMaster,

can you answer me another question:

can you run sms with some functionality without installing
SQL?

Thanks

Gav,

what sort of functionality are you after...there are several third party apps available that will do many of SMS's jobs....but any database-related functions need SQL.

cheers

You need SQL to install SMS; therefore, there is no functionality in SMS without SQL.

You can use VNC (freeware) for remote control...if you want. Joseph L. Poandl
