Given a w98 or w2000 client on a network that logs into a w2k server;

given that an old DOS fax server has to log into that client in order to be 'fed' the faxes from the DOS program running there;

can the fax server log onto the client? If it doesn't, it won't be fed the faxes.

Thanks

not sure what you mean by "log onto" ...are you asking if the DOS client can authenticate as a local user?

Yes,
The DOS faxserver normally connects to the domain using tcp/ip and netbeui over a LanManager.

Challenge is that if the DOS client logs onto the w2000 server (AD) and the Main DOS program is not running on the server, the faxserver cannot be fed the faxes from the program.

It is our desire to log onto the network with the DOS faxserver, but have it reach the client member where the DOS program is running and will feed it faxes.

Thanks
