Hi,
I know virtually nothing about coding with Macromedia Flash but I do have Flash MX on my system (been there for several years now) and I want to create a simple gift for my brother. I'd just like to create a stand-alone flash file that does the following:
1. Shows a picture of my Dad (.jpg file) and
2. plays his voice from a .wav file I have and have it repeat twice.
3. Puts up a little image that says "Click to Play Again".

Can anyone lead me along the coding of such a thing?
I have Macromedia Flash MX version 6.0
Thanks for any assistance.
Regards,

It would be so much easier to make it for you that explain how to do that considering that you know "nothing about coding with Macromedia Flash". Flash has a pretty steep learning curve and at first it can be very frustrating. What I can suggest is go to there are some very good tutorials for beginners, including how to add sound to buttons, invisible buttons etc.

I'd just like to create a stand-alone flash file...

Must I understand you want a Windows Flash projector file (.exe) not just a .swf?

Hi oldnewbie,
Either one will do. I am just going to send it to my brother and as long as he can just double-click on it and see it play - that would be great.
Can I see the .fla file as well? I'd like to learn a little bit about how you do it.
Thanks again!

I'll e-mail both of them to you along with the .fla...
You might want to send him the .exe, if he doesn't have a standalone Flash player installed on his system.

This is just one simple way of doing this... It could be done in so many other ways!
