Hi,
I am new into networking. Had a simple question.

Situation is that i have Win2K server. Active directory is installed.IP-address from ISP is static. name of domain is xyz.net. Now i want this domain to be accessible globally via internet. that is if someone pings a client abc who is in the domain xyz.net.i.e

ping abc.xyz.net

ping should be successful.

Could u tell me how i can achieve this. Do i need to register my domain the same way any website is registered.
from
Thanks in Advance

If you want host.yourdomain.net to be seen on the internet then you will have to register the domain name and assign DNS servers to host that zone. You can then create host records within that domain.

Chris.
