Hi,
wanted to find out whether anyone here has succedded in setting up LCR with a sim gateway on an IP406 with IP Office.
If so, what kind of card did you need-if at all and are there any suggestions for which gateway would work best?
Just trying to find out if the yearly cost savings will outweigh the initial setup costs.
Most of our calls(60-70%) are to mobiles.
I ran a search of the forums but couldn't see anyone who had setup successfully.

lcr or ARS is very very simple on the ip office.

i often use ISDN version sim gateways, you can buy analogue and sip versions though but the isdn works best and is most reliable. plus you get caller id.

simply stick a route to the isdn trunk so if I dial 0870N
route via Trunkg group 3, etc.

LCR or ARS is the best way to do it like TheTaker said.

There were some issues on the 4.x versions, the ISDN connections stops working and only could be reset by a reboot of the IP Office. In version 4.1(12) this should be solved. We are still testing this on 3 customers if this problem is gone.

Some Sim Gateways support incomming calls, so people can dial in on the gateway and with embedded or VMPro they can dial any extension number or even can call out again.

Greetzzz..Bas
