We are in the process of rolling out 46xx series phones to a number of users in an office area.

They have asked the question if there is a way of muting the key pad tones (or the beeping as they put it).

I have had a look on the phone settings and also the 46xxsettings.txt file and can't see any way to do it. Have tried searching through Avaya manuals but that is also in vain.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can not do that
you can put the volume a bit down

ACS IP Office or is it ACSS :)

Thanks for the info. Figured that was the case but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

I'll break the bad news to the users then.

I don't care about the new functions. All I want is for the phone not to make noise when I hit the buttons."

Keep fightin the good fight brother.
