Silence- ITG ISDN Trunk

Hi, I have tied two nortel system (rls 4 and 5.5) with ITG ISDN trunk (IPT 3).
Some time user compalining that we get silent for few mili second while talking with other site user and this problem happening with both site users. I have checked traffic on ITG ISDN trunk and it is OK, i am getting no error on ITG card(MC32) maintenance terminal. PING command to other ITG card is continously getting ok with few mili second variation.
What else should i check to remove this silence problem during call, it stays for few milisecond and then call silence gets ok and user may talk OK with each other.
Data peoples says that they also check Data site and it is OK.

go into the dsp/ codec options & untick the VAD (Voice Activation Detection) in the profile save & transmit to the selected nodes/cards. I always do a cardReset in the ITG cli to reboot it & load new profile

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
