i desparately need any tips on starting up a sig server as a failsafe. when i go through startup cd disc and after copying files, it gives me an error message about bootp and a configuration error. i tried building as a follower.

i just shut it down until i get some info.

So have you got a primary and an alternate NRS, You have already set a sig server to be the Leader. Will the install not let you go any further or is it when you boot? Did you add it to your node in Element Manager, in EM, configuration/sig servers, just tick the box, for failsafe?

Might be a few pointers, you could have faulty SS, you can ftp to the SS and delete the bootp and config files too.

Cheers,

Killian
