I have Sidekick 95 (yes, I know it's a dino) and recently experienced inability to open it. The message "missing file EXPENSE.DLL:10" is displayed. I'm using Windows 98.

I can't find the missing file anywhere and have lots of stuff on Sidekick Cards that I need and also would like to save my previous calendar information.

I also get a message saying that a device attached to the system is not functioning. This is from the Sidekick.exe file. I have no clue what device it's referring to.

I recently deleted some internet temp files but shouldn't have deleted any Sidekick files.

I probably have the software from the initial installation (came on the computer) somewhere but have moved and can't find it.

Anybody able to supply that missing file and give me a clue about the "device" problem? If anybody does have a clue would you be kind enough to email me direct at wegandy@aol.com so as not to clutter this up with stuff about an extinct program?

Thanks

Dear Wegandy,
Copy your Expense File which is named

whatevernameyougaveit.see

From its location to another folder and then delete the one in the original location.
Sidekick will recreate one when you start.

Try that first as there is no File called EXPENSE.DLL:10 there is however (afaik) one called Expense.dll

Try that for a start and let me know how you get on.
Regards Jim
