I have more than one server powered by a particular UPS. I have the mainserver set to shutdown in the event of a power fail. Is there a script I can run to shutdown the other servers?

thanks

I tried that utility I and I get initiate shutdown failed.

Would you mind giving me an example of a script so I make sure my context is correct

thanks

hi,
I belive you have encountred som authorization problem

be sure that:

- you are logged in by a Domain Admin in your main server
- Domain Admins are in the local Administrator Group
of the target machine

the syntax is

shutdown \\targetComputer

or if interactive you can

shutdown \\targetComputer /T:30

see shutdown /? for full explanation.

bye
