Shutdown Issue

Just getting to shutdown options of restart or shutdown takes about 1 minute and 2 minutes to shutdown.Have run adware,sysbot,antivrus.Event viewer says esent error data recovery.Did restore and workrd for 2 days.Need help.
 
Try your Shutdown from Safe Mode, if that seems OK, try following these articles to eliminate any possible causes.

If you still have problems post any errors that are shown in the Event Viewer.
 
Event viewer log entries for Essent events under XP SP2 are harmless; the are an obscure artifact of unimportant things, and do not affect your shutdown. I do not know if there will ever be a hotfix for this, as the event is informational and nothing needs to be done to your system.
