shut down services safely, which one?

dear all,

i am using win2k pro with a near-tight spec, using only pii 300 with 164 mb memory. i am not planning any upgrade in near future, so i am planning to optimize win2k from software side.

i want to disable some services that i may not need. which one i can turn off? there is no documentation about the function of each service running. i am using the win2k only for office application, surfing the net (through a LAN), once in a while playing games, thats all. disabling antivirus program is not a choice since i oftenly go online and exchange files over the net.
