I do not know if this is possible in Access 2003, but does anyone know how to display a global variable on the system header so that it is shown continously.

For example, I would like to show the username, dates selected to run reports and the specific customer selected at that time.

Ideally I would like to have field boxes that a user could fill in and other parts of the system would use.

Do I need to create a form to accomplish this and if so is there a way to "dock" the form?

Thanks for your help on this.

Regards,

John

You could use labels and make the caption equal to a textbox or variable.

If you are refering to a command button, you can place one on top of a command button, or (I don't know if this will work) make the command button caption equal to your textbox or variable.
