show/hide layers shows/hides wrong layers!

I've just started designing a site which is based on layers. Each layer is linked to the next via a button using the 'show/hide layers' behaviour to create a 'next>>' '<<previous' type of interface. However, some of the buttons show the wrong layers. The information in the layers diologue box seems to have been entered correctly as does the script in the html. WHAT'S GOING ON!?>:-<
