Show alias email address in the email sent

Is there a way for the alias email address to show up on received emails?

Example:
I have an alias that is it@company.com but when I receive emails sent to it@company.com they show up as my primary email address.

It would be nice to know what emails accounts are being emailed.

Any ideas? I know I can create another mailbox and just have the emails forwarded but I don't want to do that.

If it's from an external source, the alias would probably show in the headers.

You're correct in that statement but the bigger issue in internally not externally.
