Hello-

I am trying to Broadcast MP3's via a music server in my home to other PC's on my network...

However, I am using a D-Link cable/Router with integrated Firewall. It is also a DHCP server.

Problem is that via DHCP I cannot find out what the IP address of the computer is (running Win 2K)

I used to run winipcfg on 98, but it doesnt seem to work, and when I try to go to networking, it doesnt tell me either...

When I try to take the router off of DHCP and give all ports hard IP addresses, I cant get onto the network?

There is some weird Network glitch, and I cant figure it out... any ideas?

What computer do you need the ip address of yours?
or the others on your network.

D4Lions,

do what MDonato suggested open up a dos prompt (start >> run >> command <cr> ) then at the c:\ type ipconfig /all after you get the address try to ping that address from your shoutcast server .. what kind of OS are you running the server on? Is it a Unix based of? If so issue ifconfig -a to get the IP address of that box..
