I have cleaned up my daughters windows XP machine using giant company's antispam, I have turned off system restore,
but several popup continue to come back. Bingo, poker, casino games, etc. If you right click on them nothing happens you cannot delete them. It appears AntiSpam clears them temporarily but after awhile them come back. Any suggestions?

download & use SpyBot Search & Destroy and AdAware. you do not need to disable the system restore to use these items.

did you also go to the Control Panel, Add Remove Software? sometimes this will clear the remnants of deleted files and their icons.

I did go to control panel add/remove software and everything looks okay. Since we are on this subject. How can you get rid of entries in your add/remove software when you try to remove program entries that apparently are no longer there or missing the unload files?

do a search for their remnant Files & Folders & delete them, a search of the Registry would also help but do not do this if you are not familiar with editing the Registry

i suggest using the two software packages first.

You can follow suggestions here, if your problems remain, you can post a hijackthis log in this thread and someone can offer some additional suggestions for system cleanup.

Are your registry and data backed up?
