Short Cuts in Folders do not work.

We have a problem that was presented to day. On one of our W2K PC's the shortcuts inside of the folders i.e. the My Network Place's in the My Document, or vice versa. Does not work. If you hold the pointer over it it gives you the description on the icon, but none of them will work.

If you have any suggestions I would appreciate hearing them.

Are you referring to the shortcuts that appear in the Common tasks list on the left side? If so, try removing the task bar, reboot, then add it back. Otherwise, login as another user, check if that works then log back in under the original user's account.

If you check the properties of the icon and the target, start in, etc are greyed out that user does not have the needed rights. Double check the security tab and make the necessary.
