Hi Friends

I have assigned short cut keys to my toolbar buttons, using the & just before the Access Key, but its not Activating the click event even if i use it with Ctrl or Alt...

Please help.... I searched this forum and found only one relevant thread thread222-265762, in which CCLINT (one of my favourite members) has shown the way of assigning the short cut keys and activating them, i have followed his steps but no successs...

Are you using the same hot key more than once? In other words does the same <alt>-?? key combination correspond to more than one shortcut. If so the app may not know which click event to fire. Each Hot key combination should only occur once.

hi zemp

thanks for the response, but none of the shortcut keys are duplicate or repeated....

Please guide further....

What I often do is to have the tool bar buttons also represented by menu items. The toolbar click event basically just calls the menu click event. That way I can set the menu shortcut or accelerator keys that can also be used by the user to 'click' the toolbar buttons.

Other than that I don't have any other suggestions.

hi thanks zemp

but unfortunately i dont use menu's. One more thing i have placed that toolbar within a picture box, so may be that causing it to behave abnormally....
