Sharing and unsharing a folder on the server from a client in LAN

I have made a package using VB and sql server database.
I have shared a folder on the server. The files in this shared folder are accessed by the users from the clients in the LAN using this package.

Now i want the following arrangement:
I do not want to share the folder on the server. Instead I want to share and unshare this folder through the package. Can someone provide me a hint on how to do it?
