Windows 2000 Server and 3 Windows XP Professional clients.

I have created and shared a file on the server. I have placed all groups to which the aggregate contain all users are assigned on the security list and have given each group full control. I have published that folder as well.

With the browser on the server I can see the folder and its contents. However, I cannot get to that folder from any client.

Where is the folder getting it's security from. There's a check box that says inherit security settings, (Not the proper terminology, but it's close.) If this is checked then the folder it's in is where the security comes from. If it's not in a folder it gets it from whoever is above it. If you uncheck that box and choose remove, can you see it then? Glen A. Johnson

The problem is solved. Cost $120 to solve it, but it is solved. Simple solution too. The consultant removed the client from the domain, then added it back to the domain. Now it works fine. Why it didn't work the first time it was added to the domain no one knows.
