Sharepoint My Links problem

I am using Sharepoint MOSS 2007.

I am trying to get the My Links feature to work. I see the option on the top right menu of the page, but when I click "My Links" > "Add to My Links", I just get a popup window that is blank and/or it tells me that quicklinksdialog.aspx can not be found.

I have figured out that the link is directed to a wrong path. It is trying to go here:

http://proweb01:2222/_layouts/MyQuickLinks.aspx

... which is internal and should be trying to go here:

http://portal.xxx-xxxx.com/_layouts/MyQuickLinks.aspx

.... I have seen other people asking this same question, but have yet to see a solution.
