Hi. I have a windows 98 machine sharing a printer and want a xp machine to be able to use the printer. However, when I browse to it from network neighborhood, it errors stating that "The account is not authorized to log in from this station". I have another machine (windows 98) which is able to browse to it with no problems. What could be causing the xp machine to not connect? Any ideas? thanks so much for your time.

Share level or user level access control on 98 machine?

username/password in use on 98 machine?

XP home/Pro?

workgroup/domain?

can you access shared folder/drive on 98 machine from XP machine?

Thanks for the reply, wolluf. Here is the additional info.

I am using the default access control on the 98 machine which I believe is share level. Username and password is in use on the 98 machine only with regard to the Client Login for Microsoft Networks. This is a domain and I cannot access anything on the 98 machine from the xp machine. Oh, and it is XP pro. thanks for your time, Dave
