I am running windows 2k (sp3), office 2k (sp3), and IE 6 (sp1 with all updates)

I was wondering if anyone has step by step instructions on how to setup shared calendars. I know how to share calendars with differnt users by using the "share" option in the file menu, but I want to know how to be able to check availabilty for each person in the Calendar (meeting) settings. I do not have exchange server, and found an article on how to do it if you are using a POP3 server, but still having issues. I can get it to work by having outlook publish the calendar to an FTP (with no login or password), but I have to install web publishing wizard on the individual computers. I have no idea why I have to do that since I am not publishing a web folder on individual machines.

I want to be able to publish individual calendars for viewing on a FTP (with password and userid) and just can't seem to get it to work. Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When you 'Publish' the site to an FTP or any other location, you are creating an HTML type Calender. To do so, you need the publishing wizard installed.
A Calendar in Outlook is part of the PST, so you cannot just put the Calendar somewhere and make meeting requests and check availability.
You will need and Exchange server to allow you to do that.
