I would like to know if it is possible to share a Dial-up internet connection between Windows98 and WindowXP. My brother uses Win98, I use WinXP and everytime he wants to use the internet I have to disconnect and let him dial up, and vice versa.

We only have one phone line, and both have separate modems. Is it possible to both share the same modem? Can one of us dial in, allowing both of us to share the internet connection?

I know it sounds silly, but is there any way this can be made possible?

Thanks heaps.

You need Internet Connection Sharing installed on one machine.

A terrific explanation and step-by-step Guide by Steve Winograd is found here:
A better choice would be to split the startup costs of a broadband router, and the monthly costs of DSL or Cable internet.
