Hi All,

First off and which you will probably tell from the question, I am a user and not a tech but I am trying to get the IP Office SoftConsole to installed and working on my laptop and via vpn.

The have an IP Office 4.06 4.2(4) and using office manager 6.2(4)on a Windows 2003 Server. I have PM Pro License, PM Pro IP Audio Enabled and Voicemail Pro. All have valid licences and PM Pro has available unused licence.

I have chosen my regular user in office manager software and changed the phone manager options to show PM PC Softphone and this was really the first question. Do I keep my existing account and just change this value or do I need to setup a new user just for roaming?

So then, I installed PM Pro & Softconsole from the disk. Both installed without a hitch. Then, while connected to the LAN locally via Cat5 (regular active directory network) I open up the soft console (4.2.9). I browse to the local ip address for the IP 406 DS, choose that and then browse to my name and select, enter password and then hit ok and I get an error message that "No licenses are available", hit OK and it closes.

While trying to follow the same procedure while connected to the network via vpn, I get and error "No control units found". Should IP Office have a public ip address which points to the LAN using NAT?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for a BP (Business Partner) in Atlanta there are probably several on hand, one of them is
and some of these guys are also here in the forum or just google "avaya business partner Atlanta Georgia" and there will be some coming up, make sure they are familiar with IP Office though and not just doing Partner installs.

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
