Hi All,

I am trying to setup a connection in one of my remote sites. At this location I do not have any access to copper wires for an analog connection.
I would like to setup an analog connection for a FAX machine at this lcoation, but the only access I have is VOIP.

Any ideas

I use AudioCodes SIP Analog Terminal Adapters for fax in all of my locations. There are a variety of models depending on the number of analog devices you wish to support. I currently use the following models:

MP-112 - 2 Analog FXS ports
MP-114 - 4 Analog FXS ports
MP-124 - 24 Analog FXS ports

I have been using these for years starting with CS1000e release 5.0 and continuing through 7.5 with no problems.

hi Allenmac,

Thanks for your reply. I am curious how this device works and how I have to configure it on my CS1000e. It is my fist time trying to do digital to analog conversion. Could you help.

These are SIP to Analog gateways, so you need to have SIP trunk licenses on your pbx (I use the CS1000e).

You configure the gateway device as a SIP endpoint in your SIP Proxy/Redirect Server with routing entries for the numbers you want to assign to the devices.

If you search in this forum on AudioCodes, you will find a lot of information on how to configure the devices.

Take a look at this by Algo

Algo’s USB Analog Terminal Adapter enables the use of a traditional analog wired or cordless telephone, TTY/TDD terminal, fax machine (note: 1), or other analog device with the following Nortel IP Phones:

IP Softphone 2050 (Version 2 B254 or newer2) for BCM or CS 1000
Nortel 1100-Series IP Phones equipped with a USB port

What do you have at your remote site?
