I want to put a Powerpoint Slideshow on a web page so a user can download it or launch it. Not having any luck.
I created a link to the file. When I right-click the link and try 'Save Target As' it first says "Getting information.. filename.pps" but then quickly changes to the Save dialog box and wants to save filename.HTML.
When I double-click the link, instead of the slideshow starting I get a page with Ascii characters.
I'd appreciate any help. In case it matters I used Dreamweaver 4 to create the page with the link

Ask your ISP for a FTP folder to store the file in. When you link to it in the FTP folder it will ftp via the browser for the download DeZiner

Thanks. Will do. Anyone know how to get the Slideshow to launch from the webpage for those who don't want to download it?

You could export the PPT doc to HTML, but you lose the Blends you will have used. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
