Hi all

I have just set up a system to email me when a room has been booked on our room booking system. The problem I am having is that the messages are sitting in the queue folder and not being delivered. This used to work as a can remember it sending the messages. I have service pack 6 installed.

When i go to the server and try to open Option Pack -Microsoft Index Server - Index Server Manager (HTML), I get the error

Http Error 404

404 Not found

Web server can not find the File or Script you asked for.

Can anyone help me before I go Crazy!!!!!

Sounds like Index Server (Ci) is not installed or running.
DO Start Settings COntrol Panel and select SERVICES icon
Check to see if Index Server (Ci) is running. Maybe it may be easier to remove it and readd it again. Don't forget to reapply SP6A afterwards!

I know this seems vague, but it sounds like your missing the Admin files for Managing Index Server over the web.

-Look at the properties for the "Index Server Manager (HTML)" Shortcut.

-Based on that you should be able to determine the files that it's trying to run.

-Check to see if the files are there and if they are missing, you would have to either reinstall the Option Pack or install the Option Pack on another machine and copy the Index Servers Manager(HTML) Folder.

-By the way...What does Index Server have to do with the SMTP service? Dave Namou, MCSE CCEA

Hi all

Could someone clarify that I am on the right track here. I have set up a form to email me when a computer room has been booked out in our school. I have set up IIS 4 and service pack 6. I have no email client set up on the server but have internet access. What do i need to do to enable it to work as at the moment my emails are sitting in the queue. i f i try and drop them in the pick up box it just drops them back into the queue.
