Is there a way to set up roaming profiles or something like that with Windows 98 second edition on a Windows NT Network. What I'm trying to do is I have a user that has a laptop and he uses his laptop in our office and its setup with our network settings. He also goes to other offices which have different network settings and he would have to change his network settings to get on their network. What is the best way to handle this type of situation. Thanks for your help.

HI!

Roaming profiles is NOT a solution, since they store user settings and not computer settings like network address.

The best solution is to implement DHCP on both networks.
You don't have to change all clients to be DHCP clients, but make sure you exclude all manual IP address from the DHCP scope.

Another posible solution is to implement hardware profiles.
It is the same idea witn Win9x as with NT. use "System Properties" on the laptop to copy the current profile and create one for each network.
