hi,

this is driving me insane. I am trying to bring up a pri as 24b channels as an pri-ext on a g3si v6 pbx. For some reason it is not coming up, the co is seeing it as remotely busy which he says is my end but i am getting an oos fe which tells me it is the carrier.

Can someone tell me what the heck is going on here or how a pri-ext should be set up if it can be at all for this version of pbx.

thanks.

do you need to set up a communication link and a communication processor-channel for this if it is being used as an isdn-ext? the only setup i did was change ds1 xxxxxx and added to sig group and trunk group. Is this all that is needed. I am horrificly stuck.

Yes you have to setup a comm link and proc channel on the V6

isdn-ext normally is use in NFAS connection . Cannot bring up without d-channel.

i was told that you only need a com link and processor channel if you have a d channel. I of course have the first pri set up as a com link and processor interface since it has a d channel but i was told that if you have 24 b you don't need to set up a processor intereface and set it up in the com link. Thanks.

So you are adding a 2nd T-1 to and an existing PRI trunk group? Did you change the signalling group to NFAS and add the 2nd board to the signalling group form? Do a "list signal" to see your current signalling groups. Then "change signal 1" to modify it where 1 is the group number.
