Setting up Dell PV-132T in NB DC4.5

I'm trying to setup a Dell PowerVault 132T with 2-LTOII drives on a win2k server. The server sees the drives and Veritas sees the drives. The library is not being seen by Veritas. I had to go and set it up as a DLT library and move the drives to the library. Currently Veritas sees only 15 of the 23 slots.

I have upgraded the Firmware to 111D on the library and the drives are at 333J. This is what Veritas recomended. The drives Veritas discoverd with no issues. The library needed to be setup manually.

Has anyone set this up and can they help me config the system?

How many slots do you see when you run a robtest?

How many slots are actually configured on the 132T?

What is your connection from the library to the server?

I'm not sure about the robtest. This is the first time I have setup Veritas.

The 132T has 2 LTOII drives the the server sees as IBM drives. It also sees the library. Not sure how to check on what the server sees the library setup as. The drives come up as a serial connection the library does not in Veritas.

The library and drives are scsi connected. Server to drive 1 then to drive 2 and terminated.

When I set the library up as DLT in Veritas it showed the two drives and 15 slots in the library. Through the library manager we have 22 slots and the 23 slot reserved for cleaning tape.

How many slots in the library are used for the e-port?

Have you disable Removable Media services?

Do you have the latest Veritas Device Drivers installed?

I would continue to work with Veritas on this until they have an answer for you.
