Is there a way to setup cisco router so that inorder to access the internet a password must be entered first?

I have never heard of anyone doing that but that does not mean its not possible. Probably need to look into a proxy server.

you could use a program called fortress 101 and block IE or whatever browser you use, then just have it prompt for a password before you can open it..

Take a look at dynamic access lists (lock-and-key):

You could set this up so a user would telnet to the router and authenticate. Upon authentication, the router inserts a dynamic ACL that would allow the user's machine to access the Internet.

HTH,
John
