I have a NEAX 2000 IVS with Dterm series E phones I'm not sure if this is a setting with the system or with the phone
I was wondering how to change the number of times the phone will ring before forwarding to voicemail. When I call from extension to extension the phone will ring 5 or 6 times, but when it is a call from an outside # it only rings 3 times.
any help would be much appreciated

These are system wide settings. Cmd 410 de 01 for incoming calls and 410 de 15 for internal.

Both are set in 4 second increments but it is not an exact time so in the manual 01 = 0 to 4, 02 = 4 to 8 and so on.

If you retro fit to the IPS then you get a wider range of ringing settings per each telephone and not system wide settings. You also get so much more including Pure IP that can be added to the CPU. Get with your vendor to request a IPS Retro for the IVS. NEC is giving some great incentives to move you forward and retain your initial investment. You also get access to some great MAT applications.
